Juan is the founder and driving force behind CrankTech Racing. He oversees every aspect of the brand, from product development and testing to branding, packaging design, and creative direction.
As the face behind the CrankTech Racing YouTube channel, Juan creates product reviews, educational content, and behind-the-scenes videos that help cyclists make better decisions and maintain their bikes with confidence.
He is also the videographer, photographer, designer, and strategist behind the brand, ensuring that every product and piece of content reflects CrankTech Racing’s commitment to performance, practicality, and real-world testing.
Driven by a passion for cycling, mechanics, and storytelling, Juan combines technical knowledge with creative vision to build products and content that genuinely help riders get more from their bikes.
Richardo van der Merwe
Team Manager & Racing Director
Richardo plays a key role in the growth and day-to-day running of the brand. His primary focus is on racing, athlete development, and team management, helping ensure that CrankTech Racing is represented strongly at events across South Africa.
With a deep passion for competitive cycling, Richardo lives and breathes racing. He works closely with our Team Riders, manages team relationships, and helps build the community around the brand.
Richardo is also a familiar face in CrankTech Racing videos, where he shares his racing experience, product insights, and real-world feedback.
His dedication to the sport, combined with his hands-on involvement in the brand, makes him an essential part of the CrankTech Racing journey.
Jarno Oelofsen
YouTube Presenter, Product Tester & Enduro Team Rider
Jarno is a core member of the CrankTech Racing team and plays a major role in our YouTube content, product development, and marketing.
As one of the main faces of the CrankTech Racing YouTube channel, Jarno brings energy, personality, and real-world riding experience to our videos. He helps present product reviews, testing sessions, and educational content that gives riders honest and practical insights.
Jarno is also heavily involved in product testing and feedback, helping ensure that every CrankTech Racing product is tested thoroughly in demanding conditions before it reaches our customers.
On the race side, Jarno is a dedicated enduro rider who represents CrankTech Racing at events with a competitive mindset and a strong passion for gravity riding.
His combination of on-camera presence, technical input, marketing involvement, and racing experience makes him an invaluable part of the CrankTech Racing brand.
